DC Mech's version of Green Lantern is a clever way to incorporate the unique legacy of the GL franchise while adding elements from Pacific Rim.
The following contains spoilers for DC Mechs #2, now on sale from DC Comics.
The timeline of DC Mech has been interesting, introducing a world where superpowers are focused through mech suits, all in the name of protecting the world. This means nominally powerless humans like Batman are now towering robotic armors for their pilots.
DC Mech #2 (by Kenny Poter, Baldemar Rivas, Mike Spicer, and Tom Napolitano) introduces the giant mech version of the Green Lanterns, which actually finds a way to embrace the mech aesthetic, retain aspects of the Green Lantern legacy, and even pick up some elements from Pacific Rim along the way.

In the timeline of DC Mech, the massive forces of Apokolips invaded Earth shortly after the conclusion of World War II. This resulted in a DC Universe that became more defined by advancing technology and creating giant mech suits that could stand up to the creatures. Since the survivors of the JSA began this program decades ago, a group of heroes have risen up to take their place -- including the Mech versions of Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash. Among their number is also a new Green Lantern-inspired Mech, which is maintained by Carol Fenris in the present day. However, this machine is unique, even when compared to the other mechs so far introduced in the series, befitting a concept as flexible as the Green Lantern comics.
For one, the ship is piloted by two people instead of one -- with Hal Jordan serving as the pilot while John Stewart focused on combat. Empowered with Alan Scott's Green Lantern at its core, their mech is also something of a transformer. It can shift between at least two modes -- a space-faring jet, and a versatile humanoid mech. In theory, the mech should even be able to use the Lantern to help fuel the ring currently being used by Stewart. Even while he hasn't perfected the ability to make solid constructs, Stewart is still able to utilize the ring somewhat, creating a series of green energy missiles from the mech's hands -- and it laters proves capable of helping even hold down the absolutely massive Superman mech that arrives at Earth piloted by Kal-El.

The Green Lantern Mech might actually be one of the most clever recreations of a classic superhero for the giant robot-led take on the DC Universe. For one thing, having a mech that can shift form and change strengths to reflect the battlefield is befitting of a hero who typically can change strategies instantly with their Green Lantern Rings. Additionally, having the ship contain two pilots allows the Green Lanterns to maintain the "buddy cop" aspect that's been a definitive element of past Green Lantern runs. This also allows both Hal Jordan and (best Green Lantern) John Stewart to be represented without overpowering the team by overloading it with Green Lanterns.
The Green Lantern mech utilizing two pilots also highlights the rapport that develops between the pair, with the two bouncing off each other well compared to the rest of their more individualized teammates. It's a clever way to approach the Green Lantern characters and concepts from within the DC Mech world, retaining some unique elements of that heroic legacy while allowing them to fall in line with this variant world's approach to heroism and superpowers.
